Ellie's baptism...

The big day is almost here! My good friend Gwen offered to take a few pictures of Ellie in her dress. They turned out gorgeous. I am so excited for Ellie and this incredible path she's about to take.

Erin Go Bragh

My little leprechauns looked so cute. Ellie asked me why "the leprechaun" didn't come to our house on St. Paddy's Day. I know "he" visits other homes and does crazy things like turn the toilet water green, makes a general mess, and even turns the milk green. Well, I said, that's because I didn't ever get signed up with him... ??? So aidan jumps in and asks how one does that! I told Aidan that I would have to send an email...he wanted to know if we could have the leprechaun come the next day. (the 18th) Apparently next year we will have a visit from the little guy.

Happy Birthday Ellie!!! 8 years old!

She's had an awesome year! Soccer, snowboarding, straight A's, vacations, playdates, dance recitals... Ellie is a sweetheart who is always thinking of others and absolutely loves to be with friends and family.

Eight is such a special birthday. I can't believe she's already there. She is going to be baptized in a few weeks and I am so proud and happy for her. Happy Birthday!

Happy Bday Noah!

The sweetest baby boy ever is now 11... Noah still brings peace into our family with his amazing attitude about life and its opportunities. He is an incredible musician, a wonderful student, a fantastic snowboarder and athlete... (he'll try ANYTHING and LOVE IT!), and a good friend. We can't imagine life without his dazzling smile. Happy birthday, Noah!

february!

February has flown by... lots of fun things, as usual. Ellie was in the annual 2nd grade "Dragon Parade" at school... it was adorable how excited they all were. Ellie and Corey also attended the annual "Daddy Daughter Dance" together. She was SO excited and they had a fantastic time.

Noah and I went to the Tech museum together with the 5th grade. We had a great time there checking it all out! He also had a surprise band concert! (we found out about it the day before...) They sounded WAY better than I expected. Noah has amazed me with his trumpet playing ability... he went from sounding like a hurt animal on the trumpet to playing scales and songs in a matter of a few days. I'm not sure that's normal, and maybe it is, but to a non-trumpet player... it's impressive.

January...

January has already flown by. How can it be the last week of the month already? Noah started the year off with a bang.... He received his "Arrow of Light" award for cub scouting. This is a big accomplishment. It's on to Boy Scouting next month!! How did that happen??

Yesterday, I held my annual recital for my piano students. I am always so proud of them... it's very cool to see the progress. All four of my kids played... Aidan was SUPER excited to be included. He's had like 3 lessons, so it was extra adorable. He did very well, as did Noah, Ellie, and Austie.... as did everyone! Recitals are my favorite part of teaching, I do believe.

Merry Melody Moms

We are official. This is our third year singing (and playing the piano!) at Christmas time, but we now have a name and T-Shirts!! The "Merry Melody Moms" have been on tour this season... 4 "gigs" in all! :) My amazing friend Heidi has organized us all and we have had the privilege of performing for a few retirement homes, a Christmas party, and a Sacrament Meeting. It is such a fun thing to be a part of. Heidi, Tiffany, Emily, and Jenny are so inspiring and sound so good together!! (we've had some other singers as well that are missed!!)

Our children also participate in the fun by singing and dancing for the "grandmas and grandpas" and passing out little favors to them when they are done. The looks on all the faces, young and old, are priceless. It has turned into a very special tradition.

The video is our entire performance. The picture quality is not great, but you can hear us, which is the most important. :)

The Reason for the Season....

Christmas nativity play. So cute. Ellie was an angel, Aidan a star, and Noah an innkeeper. They were all adorable. Christmas is here.... enjoy the season!
